17 May 2012:- The day has finally arrived, where everything has been sorted and we can leave for our first big trip. We were suppost to leave mid April but several matters kept us from departing at that stage. Before anything else delayed us, we got up early, worked very hard at finishing off the last few jobs to secure our home, hooked up the van, jumped into the car and headed off. Departing at 1215 and arriving at our first overnight destination only a very short drive at 1530. We were told of this spot by Colin & Joan Wachtel, It is where they use to live many moons ago, there is even a road named Wachtel Rd. The town is called Moorook and it right on the Murray River. Had a visit from Col's brother, Linn and his wife Donna, who live here. Colin must have put the word out. Animals must follow me as we have only been here a short time and a black cat has already made him or herself at home and had dinner with us. Can not see anyone go without .
